Internship Exemption

According to Article 11 (1) of the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Vocational Schools Internship Directive:

Students who have worked in a field related to their program and have been registered with the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK) for at least one year may apply for an internship exemption by submitting their Social Security Service Record. Eligible students may apply to the Directorate of the Vocational School with the Internship Exemption Application Form and their SGK Service Record. Applications are evaluated by the Program Internship Committee, and students may be exempted from the internship upon the approval of the Vocational School Administrative Board.

(2) Students transferring from another higher education institution may have part or all of their previously completed internship recognized, subject to evaluation by the Program Internship Committee and approval by the Vocational School Administrative Board. Students requesting recognition of a previous internship must submit an internship exemption application.

(3) Students enrolled in programs implementing the 3+1 or 2+2 education model are considered to have fulfilled the internship requirement.

(4) Students who complete a Professional Practice course as part of their curriculum are deemed to have completed the minimum 20-working-day internship requirement.

(5) Students who are awarded an internship through the Presidential National Internship Program are also considered to have fulfilled the compulsory 20-working-day internship requirement.
