A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Zile Vocational School Mosque, which will be constructed on our campus to meet the religious and spiritual needs of our students and staff.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, Rector of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University; Şükrü Sargın, Mayor of Zile; Prof. Dr. Yusuf Temur, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysel Yılmaz, Director of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management; Lecturer İsmail Küçükali, Director of Zile Vocational School; İbrahim Ceyhan, Deputy Mayor of Zile; the Vice Directors of the Vocational School; Hayati Şahingöz, Director of the Zile Youth Center; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yavuz Acungil, former Director of our Vocational School; Sami Solmaz, President of the Zile Education Support Platform; as well as academic and administrative staff and guests.
With a planned capacity of approximately 200 people, the mosque will contribute to meeting the religious and spiritual needs of our students, academic staff, and administrative personnel.
Following the speeches delivered during the ceremony, the foundation stone was laid and the first mortar was poured with prayers.
On behalf of our Vocational School, we sincerely thank the generous benefactors who have undertaken the construction of this meaningful facility, which will become an important part of our campus.
We hope that this valuable facility will serve our students, staff, and the Zile Vocational School campus for many years to come, and we wish that the goodwill and generosity behind this contribution will be gratefully accepted.
Following the groundbreaking ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz visited our Vocational School and inspected various areas of the campus. He received information about the educational facilities, laboratories, and ongoing activities and met with the school administration and staff.
During the evaluation meeting held as part of the visit, the ongoing activities of our Vocational School, current needs, and future goals were discussed.
