"BUILDING YOUR FUTURE"

1. FIRST OF ALL, WHY A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL?

In the twenty-first century, the foundation of national development and progress lies in training a qualified workforce equipped with knowledge, skills, and work habits to achieve high productivity. For this reason, vocational schools hold great importance both globally and in Turkey.

Vocational schools represent a practical choice for candidates who prefer entering the workforce within two years rather than joining the ranks of unemployed university graduates. In fact, for many programs tailored to industry demands, students secure employment opportunities while still completing their studies.

Vocational schools directly aim to provide students with professional skills in line with industry expectations. Consequently, these institutions prepare students for practical life more swiftly, maintain close ties with industry sectors, and offer higher capacity for job placement and employment generation.

Furthermore, upon completing their two-year education, students who rapidly enter professional life can earn a salary while continuing their education at Open Education Faculties starting from the 3rd year without any entrance examinations. Alternatively, through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), which is more accessible than the field-specific AYT exam, they can gain admission to corresponding 4-year degree faculties and resume their studies from the 3rd year.
